What is in-kind?
In-kind donations are a kind of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money to buy needed goods and services, the goods and services themselves are given. In-kind gifts are distinguished from gifts of cash or stock.

Does My Sisters’ Place accept clothing and furniture?
No. Due to the capacity of our storage space, MSP is not able to accept clothing or furniture donations. However, MSP partners closely with other agencies throughout Westchester who are able to accept these items, and who help support our clients. Visit our In-Kind Donation Referrals page for more information.

Why are gift cards important?
Gift cards are important for countless reasons. Gift cards give people the power of choice. Everyone has a preference when it comes to items such as toiletries, diapers, and food, and having the ability to choose these personal items, especially in a time of crisis, can be quite empowering. This is especially necessary for under-represented communities. Toiletries, essential items, and feminine products can vary by culture/race/ethnicity/gender, and it would be so nice to give everyone the chance to care for themselves in their preferable way.

Can you pick up items?
No. Due to the size of our organization, we do not have any designated vehicle or staff who are able to pick up donations.
