Move for Change
Believe. Transform. Act.
Team MSP is a campaign to raise awareness and funds to end domestic violence and human trafficking through athletic events. It allows participants the opportunity to create their own way to get involved with My Sisters’ Place and energize their network to help end abuse in our county. Funds raised benefit MSP’s critical programs that change lives and create a culture of respect, equality, and peacefulness. Team MSP members participate in various runs, walks, races, spin-a-thons, zumba-thons etc. year-round. It takes all of us to change the cycle of violence in our community. Will you join us?
Participate in an event
There are tons of athletic events already taking place in your neighborhood each year! Why not challenge yourself to a 5K? How about dusting off your bike for a race through your favorite park? Whether the organized event is charity focused or not, you can challenge yourself and use your participation as a way to raise awareness for domestic violence and fundraise for My Sisters’ Place!
You may register for the event as an individual, family, or a team of friends. Then, create your own fundraising page through Razoo and share it with friends and family.
Here’s the Team MSP team member toolkit to get you started and help make your fundraiser a success!
Create your own event
When you organize your own Team MSP event, the possibilities are endless. Host a small event at your house or use an existing club or organization. Maybe your favorite yoga studio will dedicate a preexisting class in honor of My Sisters’ Place and donate the proceeds. Or how about hosting a Zumba-thon at a local church or temple? You can even ask your child’s little league team if they will dedicate a game.
Here’s a list of some past events that have been created by Team MSP members:
- 5k Swim Challenge
- 5k Walk
