What We Offer:
Are you or someone you know being abused or mistreated? Are you looking for someone to talk to? At MSP, adults and children impacted by intimate partner abuse and human trafficking have full access to counseling assistance and advocacy services. Counseling staff provide short term crisis assistance, information regarding power and control in all kinds of relationships, ways to identify red flags of abuse, advocacy and ongoing intensive, personalized safety planning. Counseling services are free and available to all Westchester County residents who have experienced or are experiencing intimate partner abuse.
While we can help discuss options for safety, our counselors do not provide legal advice. For legal matters, we refer all clients to MSP’s Center for Legal Services.
Who We Are:
Our counseling staff members serve an incredibly diverse population of individuals reaching every race, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and socio-economic status. The MSP counseling team is comprised of multilingual staff members with a range of educational backgrounds and experiences. Our counselors are professionally trained to provide guidance, support, and assistance in a way that is non-judgmental and compassionate.
Our counselors are dedicated to creating safe spaces where the voices of those impacted by abuse can be heard, supported and validated. Counselors will work side by side with clients to examine individual concerns, brainstorm available options, and develop a goal plan that first and foremost respects and honors what our client wants and feels ready to do. Through the counseling process, a unique relationship is formed where client and counselor can work together to envision and to work towards a safer life.
