We’re excited to announce a FREE educational opportunity for parents being hosted by My Sisters’ Place and the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound on Tuesday November 29th from 7-9 PM at the Emelin Theater in Mamaroneck. “Parents Talk” will be an informative presentation exploring how parents can help their kids navigate technology, pop culture, friendships, and dating. The goal is to provide parents with information and resources to promote health and safety in their children’s relationships as they go from kindergarten through college.
We’re pleased to be featuring a keynote address from Allyson Pereira – an anti-bullying and sexting awareness advocate who has spoken at the White House, on MTV, and to kids in classrooms across the country. You can learn more about Allyson and her story here: http://www.allysonpereira.com/
This event is open to all parents, educators, or community organizers that are interested in this topic.
